Staff are trained as either Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Licensed Home Health Aides (HHAs), and are able to take care of grooming and personal/oral hygiene, provide mobility assistance, and take vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, etc.), all included in daily care as necessary. While our assisted living facilities are a great option for those who can get by mostly independently, some people need a little more help and care. We do have Skilled Nursing on site, which is more similar to a nursing home setting. This type of care is usually deemed the best route when residents have acute medical needs and would be best served by a higher level of assistance. Placement is determined during the application process, and we are happy to help you figure out your next steps.

At Masonic Village, assisted living services are private pay, though you may qualify for Medicaid assistance for your care if you have already qualified for the program. Medicare does not cover assisted living or long-term care programs, but may cover specific healthcare costs during this time. Masonic Village is a Medicare/Medicaid certified facility.

While we don’t offer any facility-specific financial assistance options, if you have long-term care insurance, it will typically cover at least a part of your costs for assisted living services. For those who are either veterans who served in a war or the spouse of a veteran and have a financial and medical need, you should apply for the Veteran’s Aid & Attendance Pension Package through the VA to help cover the costs of long-term assisted living care.
